GoWell Annual Event
Our 9th annual event will take place on the morning of Tuesday 24 March 2014 at the Radisson BLU Hotel, Glasgow.
The GoWell annual event provides an important opportunity for local community representatives, practitioners and policy-makers to come together to consider and discuss key findings that have emerged from GoWell over the past year. It also acts as a forum that informs future developments and priorities for the programme.
The morning will commence with a brief overview of GoWell activity from the past year, followed by a presentation of new findings relating to social capital, community cohesion and health in the GoWell communities.
Delegates will then break into workshops, each of which will provide an opportunity to hear about and discuss findings and learning relating to young people and regeneration. This is an aspect of regeneration that has been relatively under-researched in the past, and participants in previous GoWell Annual Events have highlighted the importance of developing a better understanding of how young people are affected by processes of neighbourhood regeneration, and how they might be more actively involved in decision-making.
