Forthcoming conference!
GoWell in East Glasgow at the First International Legacy Network Conference
Glasgow 2014: Legacy, Partnership, Regeneration?
October 14th-16th 2015 at the Mitchell Library, Glasgow
Since early 2012, the GoWell: Studying change in Glasgow’s East End project has been focused on the impacts of regeneration and the Commonwealth Games on the communities around the main Games venues. Recently, Dr Julie Clark, from the GoWell in East Glasgow project, has been working with Policy Scotland preparing for the first International Legacy Network conference.
The Network has been established to assess the nature of legacy, to articulate the lessons of what works and what does not, to connect this learning to urban and community development and to exchange knowledge internationally regarding the different legacies, particularly in terms of the possible connections between host cities and their higher education institutes. Both Dr Clark and Prof Ade Kearns, the Principal Investigator on the GoWell East project, will be speaking at the event.
The conference should be of interest to academics working in the many fields energised by sporting and cultural mega-events, as well as city and national policy-makers and practitioners involved in legacy.

We hope to see you there!
