Who was involved
GoWell was a collaborative partnership between the Glasgow Centre for Population Health, the University of Glasgow's Department of Urban Studies and the MRC/CSO Social and Public Health Sciences Unit. GoWell was sponsored by Glasgow Housing Association, the Scottish Government, NHS Health Scotland and NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
There were 15 communities involved in the main study, which were categorised into five types of area dependent on the type of regeneration and investment they were receiving. Detailed information on the five study area types can be found here while our Community section provides details on each of the 15 individual study areas.
In addition to these 15 areas in the main study, there were six neighbourhoods in our East End study. Further information on these can be accessed on our East End study page.
